Stylenomads X LSE Africa Summit 2017 (Part 2)

Hey dolls,

As promised, we're back with part two of our collaboration with the LSE Africa Summit 2017.

Today's post focuses on how to make smart clothing sassy and fashion-forward. Both of these looks showcase two ways you can rock a skirt to the Summit. The first look takes things in a different way, with an all black look - from top to bottom. The second look features a faux leather skirt, but is quick to remain within the boundaries of smart clothing with the sharp blazer.

What do y'all think? Comment below and let us know, who wore it better :)

Until next time,
Kay and Mo x

Hey Dolls,

How are you all doing?

Today's post features our collaboration with the LSE Africa Summit 2017!

Ok, first things first, what is the LSE Africa Summit? Well..it is an annual two-day conference that showcases Africa's contributions to the world; its purpose is to engage and explore cutting-edge research and business trends across the continent. This year's theme is "Built for Africa" which aims to examine how African issues can be solved via Africa solutions.

So, in anticipation for the upcoming Summit, we worked our stylist magic and threw together a few looks - in case you were in need of a bit of outfit inspiration for the event.

These two looks showcase different ways you can rock a suit. The first look keeps things sharp and professional with a clean black tie, while the second look mixes things up with a fun african-themed pocket square. It's hard to go wrong with a suit - men always have it easy, right? But have no fear, we'll be back soon to give our fierce ladies some ideas :)

Stay tuned for part 2, and let us know if you'll be attending the LSE Africa Summit.

Throwback in All Black

Shoe: New Balance, Jeans: Zara, Jacket: Mango, Jumper: H&M, Glasses: EBay, Bag: Zara

Hey hey!

Hope that you are all doing well.

I can't believe it's already March - time is flying by way too fast. But I can't complain, because it would be nice to get a bit of sun in London :)

We all know that the dawn of Spring means welcoming more color into your wardrobe. Now don't get me wrong, I love color but I find that I start to miss my black outfits. So this post is a tribute to my favorite color! The outfit is very laidback, and perfect for a day of shopping with the girls or even a long day at Uni.

Catch you in the next one.

Turning 23

Boots: New Look, Bag: DKNY, Coat: Mango, Top: Zara, Choker: Zara, Skirt: River Island

Hey Dolls!

Back at it again with another blog post :)

Hope that you've all been having a good week? Mine started with a bang because I turned 23!

I made an executive decision to make 23 my "Year of You"! I'm sure that you're probably wondering what that means, lol. Well, it means that I'm going to spend this year doing some soul searching and essentially focussing on me, by putting my needs before those of others and generally indulging in a massive pool of self-love.

I think at this age it's easy to feel a bit lost with where you want to go next in life, you know? Society demands one thing, your parents want another thing and social media attempts to inspire other things. So to gain clarity, I'm embarking on this new journey in the hopes that I will make decisions in my own best interest - in this respect, I hope to learn how to be unapologetically selfish! Selfish?! Yes, I said it - SELFISH. Selfish in a way that allows me to live in my own truth by listening to my opinions over those of others. I want to feed my body by eating healthier and working out, I want to feed my mind by reading great literature and I want feed my soul through travel and new experiences.

With that said, I challenge you to join me! Let me know in the comments below how you hope to actualize self-love in your life :)

Love you always <3

London Fashion Week AW'17

Happy Friday Dolls,

We hope that your week has been going well.

Today we come to you with a quick round up of our London Fashion Week shenanigans! Above we have a few snaps of the Judy Wu and Minki Cheng presentations.

We caught up with designer Minki Cheng for a quick interview during his show. He highlighted that this season's work was an extension of what his brand had put out last season. The collection focussed on the story of "the girl" behind Minki's brand, and the overall theme of the collection was about fishing. This was evident in the color palette of muted blue and maroon hues that Cheng's collection boasted.

Minki Cheng is a Hong-Kong born but London based designer - naturally, we were curious to find out whether Cheng had a bigger market in the UK or in Hong Kong. He claimed that his brand was present internationally - he sells in Liberty in the UK as well as several other locations across Asia and the Middle East!

Fashion week was such a lovely experience, and getting to chat with an amazing designer was awesome! None of this would have been possible for us without the continued support from all of you - so thank you <3

And with that, we conclude this post. We hope you enjoyed it and we'll catch you soon :)

The Biker Jacket

Shoes: Vans, Jeans: Forever 21, Watch: Michael Kors, Jacket: Stradivarius, Top: Bershka, Sunglasses: Rayban

Hey dolls,

Another blessed day, another blog post :)

So today's outfit is extremely casual, yet grunge inspired. I have always been obsessed with anything black, and I just can't get enough of my vans and black leather jacket - both closet must have's. Since the weather in London this week has been surprisingly pleasant, I thought I would whip out my Rayban's and a cute baby pink sleeveless bershka top to rock underneath.

An extremely perfect outfit for lunch meal out in the city with my friends.

I hope you get inspired by this simple look, and feel free to ask us both anything on all our social media platforms.

Love,
Mo x

The Ribbed Bodycon

Shoes: Adidas, Jacket: H&M, Dress: Zara, Earrings: Zara, Glasses: EBay

Happy Friday Dolls,

How was your week? I'm so glad it's finally the weekend - this week has been a testing one!

Today's outfit post is all about this little black knit dress I got from Zara. If you follow us on Instagram you may have already seen this look, but, I love it so much that I decided to dedicate an entire blog post to it.

Now, I know some of you will be wondering and asking yourselves "What is there to love?" Yes, I know, the outfit is fairly basic - but that's what I love about it, the effortless simplicity that also manages to make me look chic. I also think it's versatile, in the sense that it can suit several occasions - I could wear this to dinner, casual day out with friends, laidback day at uni, the list is really endless.

But let's be real, I'm living in London at the moment, and the weather is anything but supportive of an outfit like this one. On bright side, it's getting warmer! I trust and hope that you've all been working on your bikini bodies? Aha

Anyways, that's all for today folks!
Thanks for stopping by :)

With Love,
Kay x
