Welcome to our blog!
It’s long
overdue, but it’s finally here.
Let’s start with
a mini get to know me – where do we start? Well, I’m a 22-year-old Masters
student living in London, and I currently study Accounting and Finance with a
specialism in the field of International Accounting and Finance. My
“professional background” is in the area of Banking and Financial Services. In
2016, I worked in Islamic Finance as a Credit Risk Analyst, and before that, I
interned in Investment Banking and Treasury.
Why do I love
fashion? That’s easy! It’s a refreshing break from the conversations about Free
Cash Flows and Deferred Taxes that tend to encroach my life – while I enjoy the
numbers, they can become a bit tedious.
The social media
journey I share with my sister started as a way to keep us connected - I was
pursuing my undergraduate studies in the UK and she was still in high school
back at home. It’s been an interesting ride, that’s enabled me to learn a lot
about myself and I hope that this blog will allow me to push boundaries more. Specifically,
I’m aiming to become a bit more personal with all of you! While I’m proud of our Instagram
“aesthetic”, I think that sharing more will make posts on our social
media outlets more personal. What do you think?
